Submission Guidelines
Ready to submit a post? Great! Don’t take this too seriously – just submit what you have! Whether it is formal, casual, academic, comic, etc., We are excited to share it.
Here are some rough guidelines, but do not feel pressured to meet all of these:
- Topical: Your submission should relate, in some direct way, to tactical or operational command and control.
- Form: Your submission should include three main sections: an introduction, a body, and a conclusion, and should include headers to identify each of these sections. The introduction and conclusion sections should be labeled as such, though you are encouraged to come up with more creative section header(s) for the body section(s) of your submission.
- Length: You should target a word count between 600-2500.
- Reasoning: If making an argument, the reasoning should be sound and clearly explained.
- Original Work: Your submission must be your own work. If borrowing words or ideas from others (including AI), please clearly delineate this within your submission using quotes, citations, or notes.
- Citations: Your submission should include citations for all factual claims that are not universally known and/or could be disputed. Your submission must include citations when the work of others is presented. Use embedded hyperlinks for citations wherever possible, reserving the use of footnotes for instances where a hyperlink is unavailable (e.g., a personal interview).
- Unclassified: Your submission must be wholly unclassified. Please make no attempt to “talk around” classified topics, imply the existence of some form of classified information, or otherwise hint about the existence of classified information.
Submission Process
As stated above, we are just excited that you are here, so ALL submissions will be accepted for review and anything coherent, moral, ethical, and legal will be published. We will work with you to make small refinements as needed, but generally will leave your work alone. If you would like more help editing or refining your work, just ask and we will be happy to assist.
